Visit Gobi desert highlight landscapes and stay in the open steppe in the Gobi. Visit nomadic family. Tour has a round-trip domestic flight from Ulaanbaatar. In the 4th day get back early in the morning in UB. Stay in 3 nights Mongolian Ger camp.
Day 1 Flaming Cliff – Bayanzag
Early in the morning, 6:00 AM driver will transfer you to the airport for a domestic flight to Dalanzadgad. You will land in the Gobi around 9:00 AM and guide and the driver will pick you up and drive to the camp or to the Bayanzag. It is up to you. The camp locates in the empty steppe, 50 km from the Bayanzag. We will have lunch in camp. And afternoon hike around Flaming cliffs. When the sunset, you will see how cliffs change the color.
Day 2 Camel trek, climb up to Hongor sand dunes
After breakfast, we will drive to Hongor Sand dunes. We will drive through wild mountains, some nomadic family’s winter places will be seen. Those are barren black mountains, lush steppe, the ground covered with wind-eroded black pebbles. You will discover the wilderness of the Gobi Desert. Over 3 hours’ drive, we will get to camp. You will ride a camel through the bottom of the sand dunes. Afternoon or evening, when the bright sun gets down, we will climb to a sand dune. The top of the dune is over 200 meters high and steep. Sand is loose. Your foot will stick to it. It requires a little bit of effort. After challenging yourself on a hot day climb up to dune, you will see brilliant sightseeing. Sand dunes and rocky mountain locate simultaneously in the endless lush steppe. Relax in the tourist Ger camp.
Day 3 Vulture Gorge- Yliin am visit nomadic family
Morning, we will drive along with sand dune and Three Beauty Mountain range by off-road. On the way, we will visit the Gobi’s nomadic family. The Family in the Gobi desert, move more frequently by searching water. So they live very simply with less stuff. Have lunch in a restaurant in Gobi small village. When we arrive in Vulture Gorge, we will visit the Gobi - natural museum. Hike through beautiful meadow valley, stream, and gorge. The birded vulture on the huge rocks, pikas on the green land will entertain you through hiking. Gorge is narrow as just 3 or 4 people go through at the same time. Optional horse riding is possible. Relax in Ger camp.
Day 4 Fly to Ulaanbaatar
Early in the morning, the driver and guide will transfer you to Dalanzadgad airport. You will arrive in Ulaanbaatar at around 9 o'clock. The driver will pick you up from the airport in Ulaanbaatar and transfer you to your hotel. If you have chosen our next city tour with a discount, the tour will continue
